Your induction

The first few weeks of working life can prove daunting, as you’ll be learning new things faster than ever before. And while you will have the help and support of all your colleagues during this time, we also provide a more formal introduction to the firm to help you understand what we do and how we do it. This will include:

Welcome

One of the team members that you will be working with will be there to welcome you to the firm on day one, show you around the office and the surrounding area, and introduce you to the colleagues in your department.

Mentor

You will be assigned a mentor during your time on the graduate programme. Someone in a more senior position, it’s their job to provide advice and support on an ongoing basis and help you to decide what kind of training you’ll need. At an early stage, a formal discussion with them will cover what you should expect from your training, what’s expected from you in your day-to-day role and the department’s working practices.

Induction

Within your first couple of weeks, you will also take part in our one-day induction course, alongside all of the other graduates that have joined the firm at the same time. This will cover:

  • An overview of the history and background of the firm
  • An insight into the current range of services and business strategy
  • An understanding of the procedures and policies of the firm
  • An opportunity to meet senior members of staff, along with colleagues from other departments
